Jenna L. Heavner
A highly rated lawyer with nearly 10 years of legal experience, Jenna focuses her practice solely on family law. She represents individuals and families throughout the greater Indianapolis metro and surrounding areas who are going through a divorce or have some other serious family law matter they need to address.
Over the course of her career, Jenna has gained a reputation as a compassionate and personable attorney who always strives to help her clients make the best-informed decisions on the matters that will affect their families for years to come. A staunch advocate for the rights and interests of children, she has served as a court-appointed guardian ad litem for many years, and she has volunteered her time and services with Kids’ Voice of Indiana.
Registered as a Family Law Mediator, Jenna prefers to help her clients resolve their disputes and reach agreements regarding their divorce-related matters in the most efficient and amicable fashion possible. She also has extensive training as a Parenting Coordinator, and she has handled numerous contentious custody cases across her region.
Jenna is also a Certified Family Law Specialist, as certified by the Indiana State Bar Association Family Law Certification Board.
In 2007, Jenna received her Associate of Science in Social Sciences, summa cum laude, from Vincennes University. She then attended Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Social Studies Education and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, each with high honors, in 2009.
Fulfilling a lifelong passion to serve and assist others in their dire times of need, Jenna attended Indiana University's Robert H. McKinney School of Law, where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 2012. While there, she was heavily involved with the school's Moot Court team, and she was a member of the Dean's Tutorial Society.
A leader in her legal community, she is a member of the Executive Committee of the Indianapolis Bar Association's Family Law Section as well as a member of the Women in the Law Committee of the Indiana State Bar Association's Family Law Section.
